Stars Summer Stroke Camp | Ages 6-16
Are you ready to take your swimming to the next level? Whether you are a novice, intermediate or advanced competitive swimmer this camp can take your swimming career to the next level. Join Karen Linder-nationally ranked ASCALevel III Coach and other RDV Sportsplex Stars swim team coaches for one, two or three weeks of swim stroke camps. Also available are three weekends-only day camps for swimmers 11 years and up.

Swimming prerequisite:
• Demonstrate 25 meters freestyle with rhythmic breathing
• Demonstrate 25 meters backstroke
• Demonstrate knowledge of breaststroke
• Demonstrate knowledge of butterfly

Guard Start: Lifeguarding Tomorrow Summer Camp | Ages 10-14
Do you want to be a lifeguard someday? RDV Sportsplex is offering the opportunity to get a jumpstart on being the best Lifeguard you can be. By enrolling in one or both weeks of this summer camp you’ll experience what it takes to be a great lifeguard! The Red Cross GuardStart program teaches everything from Lifesaving and leadership skills to fitness and professional development.

GuardStart introduces these essential lifeguarding skills:
• Prevention of aquatic accidents
• Fitness and swimming skill
• Response in an emergency
• Leadership skills
• Professionalism of a life guard

Swimming prerequisite:
• Swim the front crawl for 1 length of the pool continuously while breathing to the front or side
• Tread water for 1 minute using arms and legs
• Submerge and swim a distance of 10 feet underwater

Session 2: July 21-July 25
