Group Exercise | Personal Training | Programs | Sports Performance

The Fitness Department at RDV Sportsplex is equipped with over 450 pieces of state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength equipment and three group exercise studios including a Strength & Cardio Studio, Mind/Body Studio, and Cycling Studio. It also includes an 8,000 square foot Sports Performance Center, and a team of highly certified trainers that are available to assist you when needed.

New members of RDV Sportsplex receive three NEWFIT orientation-training sessions with a personal trainer to create your personalized fitness program on a TechnogymŪ Smart Key. You must be at least 13 years of age and have completed the mandatory Fitness Floor Basics class to utilize the strength and training equipment.

NEWFIT
Nutrition, Exercise, Wellness, Fitness, Instruction, Training; these components combine for a successful fitness program. As a benefit to our members, the Athletic Club offers the NEWFIT program to you. With this program, you are assigned a personal trainer who takes you through your first 60 days in the club, and is your contact throughout your experience here at RDV Sportsplex Athletic Club.

First N.E.W.F.I.T. Session includes: An individual training session to review your Health & Activity Questionnaire, determine your baseline fitness level and define your fitness goals.
Second N.E.W.F.I.T. Session is designed to follow up your fitness assessment and goal setting. This is your opportunity for you and your trainer to create and initiate a fitness program according to your goals and assessment results. The content is specifically adjusted to fit your needs and may include:
A Technogym program or free-weight program for strength training.
A cardiovascular workout using heart rate training zones.
A demonstration of core and flexibility exercises.
An additional fitness testing option.
Third N.E.W.F.I.T. Session: This is the last visit of the N.E.W.F.I.T. program. Based on your goals and requests, your trainer will take you through a full personal training session.

Fitness Floor Basics
This is a mandatory training session for teen members ages 13 to 17. At the Athletic Club, we strive for the safest, most effective programming for all areas of the club. With regard to strength and aerobic training, we believe teens age 13 to 17 can achieve major fitness benefits from this type of training,
provided this training is done correctly. For this reason, Fitness Floor Basics is designed to direct and educate our youth membership as to proper technique, training methods and overall safety on the Fitness Floor. In this program, a fitness team member provides basic information about the body and
the benefits of exercise through a brief discussion. A demonstration is conducted on the equipment. Following the demonstration, they are able to participate in a short period of supervised practical application. Sign up is required. This program is offered the second Wednesday of every month at
3pm, and the fourth Saturday of every month at 1pm.
