RDV Sportsplex Ice Den offers a weekly hockey clinic that works on all aspects of the game. Clinic is offered on Friday evenings from 6:00pm-7:15pm. Friday Night Clinic is offered on a rotating schedule based on age divisions and weekly skill.

Focuses on the proper technique using the cradle to receive and following through on your release, passing into open space, receiving a pass while skating, touch passing, backhand passing, bank passes, and saucer passes. We will be using: tires, cones, tri pods, and weighted pucks.
Focuses on hand position and puck position on the stick. Using the wrists, stationary stick handling, high speed stick handling, toe drags, using your feet, spin-o-rama, head fakes, and puck protection. We will be using: PVC pipes on sticks, tires, cones, tri-pods, and weighted pucks.
Focuses on: weight transfer and shooting off front your foot, how to score goals using the “Shooters Edge” wrist shots, back hand, snap shot, Slap shot (pee wee and up), one timers, shooting through screens, and roofing the puck. We will be using: a radar gun, weighted pucks, cones, and tires.
Teach proper body positioning, stick use, how to funnel a player, how to win battles on the boards, proper checking technique, stick checks, poke checks, how to use angles, taking space away from the puck carrier, making the ice smaller, and using your stick to take away passing lanes. We will be using: cones, checking bags, tires, and bungees
Teaching: how to create time and space on the ice using speed, passing, puck protection, gap control, attack triangle, 2-1 play, 1-on-1 moves, winning corner battles, face offs, tip-ins and screens, and rebounding. We will be using: tires, cones, weighted pucks, ropes, and tri pods.
Teaching: how to take away time and space using gap control, proper stick positioning, poke and stick checks, back checking, shot blocking, how to play 1-on-1, 2-on-1, 3-on-2, and 3-on-1, how to win corner battles, the importance of the first pass out of the zone, face offs, how to play in front of the net, clearing rebounds, and proper body positioning. We will be using: tires, cones, weighted pucks, ropes, and tri-pods.
